"Do We" Really Know Dewey?
This website is a review of the differences between fiction and nonfiction books, how books are organized in the library, and the history of the Dewey Decimal Classification system with a brief introduction to the inventor, Melvil Dewey. Just click on the stacks of books (icons) on the left of the website to navigate through the information. Begin at the top though, because it will get harder as you go further down. Don't bother with the last section (websites by Dewey number) you don't need to know that.

Subject/Book Hunt: "Don't 'subject' me to this"
We don't use a card catalog anymore, but this site asks you to think about what you would do if looking for a specific subject of a book and where you would go to find the book (the steps involved). One of the options is using 'the card catalog or online library search'-this is the Destiny catalog to us.
